We are focused on supporting local, county and state candidates for public office from our position as the grassroots representatives in 38 precincts across the City of Elyria (31), Elyria Township (2) and Carlisle Township (5). 20 of the 38 precincts have a Republican representative. 18 do not have a Republican representative. Lorain County Republican Central Committee Meeting
Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
This is the quarterly meeting of the Lorain County Republican Central Committee. There are 138 members on the committee with the possibility of adding 72 more in the precincts which are vacant of the 210 total precincts in Lorain County.
Each member represents the precinct that they live in. Interested in getting involved, contact Kirsten Hill, Chairman, at 440-201-2306.
Official Meeting Notice
The Lorain County Republican Central Committee will have a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 12, 393 Ohio Street, Elyria, Ohio.
Per ARTICLE VII of the Lorain County Republican Party bylaws:
Section 7. Open Meeting Policy. All Central Committee meetings shall be open to the public and a seating area shall be provided for public attendance that is clearly defined and separated from the voting members of the committee, but still within visual and audible observance. The Central Committee Chairman has the authority to call an executive session.

EARLY & ABSENTEE VOTING BEGINS
Early In-person Voting begins today and will continue through Sunday, November 1st, 2026, with the final Election Day of the 2026 General Election Season on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026.
Absentee voting by mail begins today also. Applications for paper ballots are accepted by the Board of Elections, processed and then the actual ballots start to be mailed out on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026. The last day to submit an application is approximately October 27th, 2026.
